What should I expect when receiving a full body massage?
When arriving for your scheduled massage appointment, you will be greeted by our staff and given full instructions on how to prepare for your massage. Our therapists explain the entire process in detail so that you can make informed decisions regarding your individual preferences and needs for the service to maximize your comfort level.
Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?
Yes. Our therapists are trained in prenatal massage, but doctor's approval is advisable. Please be sure to notify your JUUT therapist before your appointment.
May I request a male or female therapist?
Yes, when you call to schedule your appointment. Remember, all Essentials therapists are well trained and, at all times, are sensitive to your comfort and modesty.
What is Thermal Hair Straightening?
Thermal Hair Straightening is a chemical service that incorporates Japanese technology to make even the curliest hair permanently pin straight and mirror shiny. The service is ideal for anyone with hair that is naturally curly, kinky, frizzy, highly textured, colored, permed, or even relaxed.
Do I have to totally disrobe for my spa treatment?
It is up to you. Our therapists are trained to drape towels and sheets to maintain your privacy, however undergarments may be worn. A 2-piece bathing suit may be worn for spa-body treatments, but is isn't needed and we cannot be responsible for stains and damage.
Should I wear make up to the spa?
It isn't necessary. Some services such as facials and make up applications, require that the make up be removed, while many of our body therapies also include some facial treatments.
What do I do with my valuables?
We recommend that you avoid bringing your valuables.
Can I bring my child with me during my service?
We do not recommend children accompany you for any service, no matter how brief. This would be disrespectful to those guests who arranged for childcare and have come to relax. There are also safety issues including products and chemicals, hot liquids and towels, sharp instruments and glass.
Do you offer spa packages?
We invite you to build your own service package so you may choose those services that interest you most. Our staff can help you book several appointments together for a full or half day experience and also recommend services that work well together.
How far in advance should I call to schedule an appointment for a full day at the spa?
We recommend that you schedule full day of spa appointments four weeks in advance to be sure you get the date you need.
What is Eyelash Tinting?
An eyelash tinting service may be required to complete the eyelash extension service. If needed, it is to blend the extensions with your natural hair and create a beautiful, natural looking style. If you tint your eyelashes, it is important that you have this done 48 hours prior to the application of your extensions. Appearances salon & Spa is not responsible for extension longevity if a chemical service is performed on your eyelash extensions.
